It’s my great pleasure to welcome you to the website of District Primary School Council (DPSC), Bankura. The purpose of this website is to share information regarding the primary schools, various activities being undertaken by the council, P.F. and pension status of the teachers and staff, important notices, announcements and tenders for greater transparency. To establish effective communication between the council and the beneficiaries.
Since its inception in 1946, DPSC, Bankura is working to eradicate illiteracy throughout the district and provide equal rights and opportunities without discriminating race, religion and gender. We have set standards, initiated trends to achieve our goal. As chairman of DPSC, Bankura I have got the opportunity to spread the quality education throughout the district.I am always earnest to spread quality education to the remotest part of our district especially among the students with special needs.
Apart from our institutional activities, we are equally involved in the field of sports and cultural development throughout the district. Every year we celebrate our Republic Day, Independence Day and pay homage to several noble persons who have set an example in the society. Every year we organize Annual Sports by joining hands together with Sarva Shiksha Mission where children-with-special-need get equal opportunities to participate in sports. In the year 2023, commemoration of 204th Birth Anniversary of Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar was celebrated grandly and full scale with number of cultural programmes like dance, music, Sit & Draw and essay competitions were organized. A State Level Symposium of Primary Teachers was successfully organized with the help of WBBPE in 2023.
However, there is much to travel to achieve our goal. Education is the only way to transform human beings towards a Prosperous, Developed, Peaceful and Just society and primary education is the founding stone in this architecture. I want to thank all the primary teachers, my colleagues in their endeavor in the field of education.
Some of the Achievements of DPSC Bankura in recent years:-
- Disbursement of salary of Primary Teachers on the 1st day of the month has been ensured.
- Rational distribution of teachers as per RTE Act has been done as far as possible.
- Timely settlement of releasing retirement benefits (eg. GPF is disbursed within 24 Hours of retirement) to the teachers has already been ensured. Almost 99% Pension Cases have been disposed off with the help of DI/S (PE), Bankura.
- There are a very minimal number of Arrear Bills pending for payment at DPSC Bankura level.
- In the meantime procedure for computerization of updating of P.F. accounts of staff of DPSC & Primary Teachers has been completed.
- Almost 90% Service Books of Primary Teachers are up-to-date.
- Matters related to the service of teachers are being settled as soon as possible.
- DPSC Bankura is tirelessly trying to develop the Infrastructures of the schools under its control with the help of Sarva Siksha Mission.
- Emphasis has been given for enrolment of never enrolled/ dropout students in primary schools.
- Hygienic supply of CMDMP is also going on.
